Sales Closer - We have leads, we need a closer. High-earning potential

Summary of the opportunity:

Content Allies is a B2B Podcast Production Agency with deep experience, expertise, and a client roster. We service customers like Meta, Alibaba, Siemens, AWS, Cisco, Gusto, ZenDesk, KornFerry, and many more. 

Content Allies acts as a premium service in the market and thus our prices are high. With Content Allies our clients get a strategist, and a full suite of services to ensure their show is successful and drives value for their business. 

Every month, Content Allies gets 40-60 inbound leads of people looking for support with their podcast. Up until now, we have filtered out 85% of those and not even taken calls with them. Out of the remaining few 1-3 will turn into new customers every month. 

That means we are sitting on ~40-50 leads who we do not service in a given month. Budget constraints is one of the most common objections to our service as we get many leads from small businesses, coaches, consultants, etc. These types of companies are not the target market for Content Allies and cannot afford our services. 

As a result, we have launched PodThrift.com. PodThrift is a low cost podcast production service. It does not include the full package that comes with Content Allies. Instead every service line is al-la-carte. Clients can start with a spend of as little as $300 per month, and yet still could scale up to $2,000-3,000 per month if they utilize many of our upsells. 

At the moment, the CEO has been selling the first handful of deals himself. All signs point toward this being a profitable and strong initiative and thus we are starting the search for a salesperson to scale this business.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to run sales for PodThrift. You will have access to 40+ leads on a monthly basis. It is your job to sift through those leads, schedule phone calls, follow up, and turn those leads into revenue. 

Upon you proving success with PodThrift, we will reinvest dollars into further marketing efforts to drive even more leads for you to work. 

We have already built a rate card and sales system for you to step into. You simply need to execute and close the deals. 


Compensation:

$1,200/mo base
$5k/mo sales quota

+ 10% commission on any revenue after $12k/mo 

Estimated $500-4,000/mo commission payouts per month 


OTE Estimates: $15,600-57,600/yr 


You are expected to deliver results:

This is not a sales job where you collect a paycheck for trying. You are expected to show up and deliver results. 

If within 90 days you have not closed new accounts, or do not show the adequate activity and follow ups per the responsibilities laid out, you will be let go. 

You will be given leads. You will be given sales coaching. The CEO will support you on deals in the early stages to help you get a win. You will be given all of the tools you need to succeed. Yet you must deliver results if you want to stay in this role. 

Expectations:

In your first 3 months, we will expect you to hit your quota. You will start with a steady flow of new inbound leads, and referrals from Content Allies.

On top of that, we have prepared email campaigns to every Content Allies customer who did not close as a result of budgeting. 

A rate card is already created and established with a bases sales process built by the CEO.

All conditions are set up from day one for you to close new business. Thus we expect you to hit quota within 3 months and start collecting sales commissions.

The compensation on this role is designed to put you in a place where you have the potential to become an extremely high earner in your region. We are giving you a strong base to cover the base living expenses, and a comp structure that provides high earning potential for a strong performer. 

Responsibilities:

- Working inbound leads and converting those to closed deals

- Following up with leads 10x times before calling a lead dead 

- Calling leads on the phone that provide a phone number 

- Customizing rate cards and proposals to the leads specific needs

- Learning the basis of podcasting and what should be recommended
- Upsells and management of key accounts (eventually we will build a Customer Success function yet in the early days you will own this) 

- Supporting operations team with a successful handoff from sales to operations 

Qualifications:

- 5+ years experience in sales of digital marketing or software services

- Podcasting experience is a strong plus, but not required 

- Strong internet connection that can handle lots of video calls

- Stable power or at minimum a backup generator in place 

- Professional appearance on video, clean and professional background 

- Ability to take phone calls from 8am-5pm USA EST Time Zone

Challenges in this role:

We are ramping up a new initiative so we do not have a completely proven sales process in place. You will be part of the ground stages of building this up alongside the CEO. 

Critical thinking, and looking for ways to optimize the sales process are extremely helpful in pairing with the CEO to help drive more closes and increase your compensation.
